This week, Years 5 and 6 participated in the 2023 Fluor Science Buddies Engineering Challenge.
The challenge was to pick up a ping pong ball and move it behind a starting line using a device the students built themselves made of only use paper, paper clips, tape and string. They could also use a ruler, pencil and scissors to build the project but these items could not be in the final device.
The students followed the engineering process: they drew sketches, built prototypes and tested and changed their products. They have entered the competition online and hope to win some prizes. Good luck!
