Across two levels, the Fort Street Public School Library contains a wide range of resources for student research, learning and reading enjoyment.
In the library, students are taught how to choose, locate and borrow books for research and home reading.
Fort Street Public School encourages all students to participate in the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge every year. The Challenge aims to encourage a love of reading for leisure and pleasure in students and to enable them to experience quality literature. It is not a competition, but rather a personal challenge for each student to read, to read more, and to read more widely.
The Librarian at Fort Street assists students to participate in this challenge each year, stay on track and record their reading each week.
