Here's some writing from students in Lavender (Year 2) for your enjoyment.
Fort Street Public School students celebrated Harmony Day on Tuesday. I dressed in Indian clothing called sherwani. I tried all sorts of things such as mini pizza, mini hamburger, noodles, pasta, crocodile bread, fried rice, wafer, prawn crackers, beef skewers and sushi. For dessert, I ate cupcakes, marshmallow flavoured waffles, durian sponge cake and rainbow jelly cubes. Lavender and Magenta sang River Town. We did lots of origami. I made a fish, heart and three frogs. It was an epic day.

On Tuesday, we enjoyed Harmony Day. We sang songs and ate lots of food. I tried a lot of food from many countries. I ate sushi, prawn crackers, pastries, noodles, crocodile bread and Japanese sour plum onigiri. It was a joyful day.
