Great time at the Maritime

Students in Stage 3 (Years 5 and 6) are learning about migration to Australia in History this term. As part of this unit, we headed to the National Maritime Museum last week to look explore some migration stories in greater detail. The students had a great time looking through primary and secondary sources, exploring the 'push' and 'pull' factors that have encouraged migration to Australia over the years.

Towards the end of the day we also took some time to explore the other parts of the museum, the highlight definitely being the Brickwrecks exhibition - sunken ships made of Lego! The Stage 3 team would like to thank the students for their enthusiasm and amazing behaviour on the day.
