Four representatives of Fort Street competed in the South Sydney Primary Schools Public Speaking Competition held at Annandale Public School on Tuesday 18 October.
Elizabeth kicked off the Early Stage 1 finals with her speech, 'My favourite animal'. She then spoke confidently about what you can do with a 'paintbrush' for her impromptu speech. Elsie persuasively argued that insects are vital to our lives and gave two convincing reasons why 'furry animals' make fantastic friends for her impromptu section of the competition.
Leopold entertained the audience with his argument that billionaire Elon Musk can solve global poverty and Caitlin proved herself to be a school leader with her speech about the teacher shortage crisis. The adjudicator gave the students brilliant and positive feedback. Well done, Fort Street!
